Kisii County First Lady Elizabeth Ongwae donated sanitary towels to five schools in Boochi Borabu ward in Bomachoge Borabu Sub County in her efforts to ensure girls stay in school.

Mrs. Ongwae regretted that needy girls drop out of school for at least 12 weeks every year due to lack of sanitary towels which compounds in low productivity.

Mrs. Ongwae also distributed geometrical sets, Text Books toiletries to Ritembo Secondary, Omosogwa, Nyabongo, Ichuni and Ritembo Primary Schools and launched a school feeding programme for the schools.

She urged parents to invest in quality education for their children and help them to become influential people in the future.

She was accompanied by Samuel Onukoh the area MCA, Scope International County Head Lillian Kwamboka, Psychologist Stella Nyaboke and Youth Director Douglas Arege
