H.E Simba Arati supports county employees’ talent growth through KICOSCA and EALASCA

Kisii County Governor Paul Simba Arati has reiterated his commitment to nurturing talent in the county, pledging continued support for employees who excel in sports and cultural activities.

Speaking in Mombasa during a meeting with Team Kenya Kisii, who are representing the country in the ongoing East African Local Authorities Sports and Cultural Association (EALASCA) games, Governor Arati said his administration remains fully committed to promoting sports development among county staff.

He further stated that during his tenure, he has advocated for the inclusion of employees in lower cadres, allowing them to directly participate in these competitions, thereby empowering them and unlocking their potential in both sports and cultural disciplines.

The governor also interacted freely with Team Kenya Kisii, treating them to a full dinner at Char Choma restaurant and facilitating their stay in County 001. He further rewarded the team with cash incentives amounting to approximately half a million Kenya shillings.

A team of 50 players from the county, drawn from diverse disciplines, are representing Kenya in the games, which bring together employees from across East Africa to share and showcase their talents and cultural activities.

He expressed optimism that the people of Kisii County will support his re-election bid, citing the significant development projects he has initiated across various wards.

He further assured that in the remaining years, his administration will continue to support county employees with outstanding talents to help them achieve their full potential, including participation in KICOSCA, EALASCA and international games.

Those present expressed their joy and excitement, noting that in addition to the pledged support, the county boss has consistently paid their allowances on time, enabling them to concentrate fully on the activities.

They also thanked the governor for planning ahead for their salaries, unlike in the previous administration where months such as July, among others, were often left out of the budget.
