H.E. The Governor laid a foundation for an Avacado processing factory in a ground breaking ceremony that paved way for the construction of the first ever Avocado Processing Factory at the Kenya Industrial Estate(Industrial Area).

In his speech H. E. told the residents that this factory will effectively make use of Avocadoes whose availability we boast of as a region but has for a long time had no major economic benefit to our farmers. The factory shall also go hand in hand in providing employment opportunities to our many jobless youths and start the path towards our social and economic sustainability as a county.
