Kisii County and DTB Launch Automated Revenue Collection

Kisii County government has partnered with Diamond Trust Bank to automate revenue collection within the County.

Through this service the revenue collection for motorists parking, bus park and bodaboda monthly license fees will be made through a wide variety of solutions including mobile phone (M-Pesa and Airtel Money), visa or MasterCard branded card. Payments can also be made through the branded DTB revenue collection points strategically positioned within the CBD.

Speaking during the launch of the partnership at Gusii Stadium today, the CEO of DTB, Nasim Devji, expressed the commitment of the bank to give electronic solutions in this digital era and reaffirmed their commitment to enhance business and make life easier for communities. DTB is the first bank to go live with an electronic solution for all parking fees collection in the Counties.

On his part, the Kisii County Governor, His Excellency Hon. James Ongwae said, ”We are delighted to have DTB as our partner in parking fee collection. This will not only streamline our revenue collection and seal any revenue leakages but will also go a long way in increasing our accountability and easing payment methods for our Kisii residents.”

The automated revenue collection system is expected to ensure efficiency in the management of revenue collection and to save the residents the time and agony of having to stand in long queues.
